YACINE ELGHORRI
Born in Paris, France, Yacine Elghorri always intended to work on either comicbooks or films.
After graduating from college,Yacine went to film school C.F.T GOBELINS (Paris) to study the art of animation. There, he made two short animated jingles for T.V. and got his diploma as an assistant animator for 2D animation.
Preferring design, Yacine worked on a few T.V. series and drew comics for various French magazines.
In 1996 Yacine decided to go to the United States to work in the film industry. He settled in LOS ANGELES, at the age of 22, where he worked for RICH ANIMATION studios as a special effects animator.
Heavily influenced by Japanese artist Katsuhiro Otomo (whom he met in 1997 at Dreamworks studios), Yacine pursued his career as a comic book artist drawing short stories for HEAVY METAL magazine.
Then, he worked as a concept designer and storyboard artist on several films, T.V. series and commercials such as : " TITAN A.E ", " EVOLUTION ",
" FUTURAMA " and " SEVEN UP ".
In 2000, Yacine met and worked for internationally acclaimed French artist Jean " MOEBIUS " Giraud on " Through the MOEBIUS strip ", a 3D film currently in production.
Yacine Elghorri currently lives in Paris, working on his own projects.
